Partner Perspectives: Breaking New Ground with MOSAIC and Spatial Omics
To mark MOSAIC’s 1,000 patient milestone, we spoke to the project partners at Gustave Roussy, Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV), Universitätsklinikum Erlangen, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and University of Pittsburgh to discuss how we can continue breaking new ground in spatial omics research.
Unlike similar studies, MOSAIC is both broad and deep, covering several cancer indications and 6 data modalities, including clinical and longitudinal data. By using 10x Genomics single-cell and spatial technologies on whole tissue sections, MOSAIC fully captures TME heterogeneity.
At Owkin, we are developing AI systems to augment the resolution of spatial omics data, and to make biological discoveries from this data. We firmly believe that spatial omics, combined with AI, will be the workhorse for new discoveries in oncology in the near future.
